By now you’re probably sick of the inevitable back-to-school icebreaker question: “So, what did you do this summer?” But we’ll ask it one more time—and we promise that’s in a less pretentious tone than some of your friends. Oh, and did we mention you could win a prize? We’ve got your attention now, but more on that later. Did you spend your summer helping malnourished infants in Malawi or fetching endless Starbucks runs at your “internship”? Or maybe your summer job involved some actual manual labor like nannying for those brats down the street or helping Uncle Al sort parts at his machine shop. Whatever the case, we want to hear your story. More details on how to submit after the jump.

So here’s the skinny:
— Send your stories to submit@nuintel.net by Friday, October 6.

— Keep your stories concise. You might think we want to read a 3000-word essay on your summer spent studying an extinct language at Harvard. But we’ll tell you now, with our affinity for distractions, we probably won’t make it past the first 300.

— If your story makes the cut, we’ll publish your first name (so, you know, you can get an internship again next year), year of graduation and major. Please make sure to include those details in your email.

— And best of all, the winner will get a gift certificate to Unicorn Cafe, so you can bask in the glory of your victory with a side of faux hipster pretension.

— Standard contest rules apply
