The week in photos: eyebrow threading, Aziz Ansari, red hot fashion, hot dogs, Chet Haze graph, and Rotimi
After a much needed three-day weekend, we started our week off just like everyone else: Obsessing over Aziz Ansari. When the excitement died down though, we caught up on HazeGate by rounding up your responses to “White and Purple,” (Hint: They weren’t all that positive). We even tracked down veteran NU hip-hop star Rotimi to document his thoughts on the whiteout of NU’s rap game.
And just in case you bump in to Haze at Lisa’s or the Keg, we shared some eye-catching style picks and introduced you to eyebrow threading (“It’s kind of like flossing… but for your eyebrows.”) OK, let’s face it, you probably won’t see Haze around; he’s a busy boy. You might as well let yourself go and gorge on a day of hot dogs in Chicago (And that’s totally acceptable as long as you don’t use the hot dogs as a sexual innuendo).
After all those hot dogs, you might not be looking for for love (it’s called over compensating), but you can still try your hand with some good old-fashioned nerd speed dating. We’d pick nerds over uppity sorority girls. Or you can just stay in and make yourself homemade tomato soup and espresso.
Best of buzz: Starbucks came out with a new size drink thats roughly the size of your stomach, NBN’s chief editor sends some adorably awkward listserv emails, but there’s a good chance you won’t find them as funny as our fave picks from the police blotter.
