With some of campus still reeling over the Keg closing, our video team showed us how to recreate the Keg in 10 “easy” steps. The closing of our fave local establishment led us to look into Evanston’s messy relationship with NU. (Remember brothelgate anyone?) At least we can still have fun without the Keg right? One freshman girl told us of her night that ended in the hospital after just trying to show some visitors a good time.
We sent one of our reporters to go undercover at SPAC—bringing us all the hilarity of a typical Monday night Zumba class. For even more laughter, check out this week’s Person You Ought to Know, a sophomore whose biggest dream is to braid Blago’s hair. NU’s Twitter accounts were in top form this week too, with SafeRide insulting Pats fans and one student just trying to sign a duet with his loud neighbor.
Best of buzz: Facebook exploded this week with Northwestern Memes, giving us all a reason to procrastinate from midterms. On the other side of the social spectrum, Lodge was forced to shut down operations by its national organization, leaving sorority girls with one less place to get their drink on.
