In a press release yesterday, Dance Marathon announced that the Children’s Heart Foundation would be the primary beneficiary for the fundraiser in 2011. The goal of the CHF is to “bring health, hope and happiness to children impacted by congenital heart defects,” according to the Foundation’s personal statement. Dance Marathon helped put CHF on the map in 1999 when the organization was first a beneficiary of the 30-hour dance-a-thon. Hopefully, next year’s dance marathon will build on the success of NUDM 2010 when more than 1,000 dancers raised $854,396 for StandUp for Kids.
