NBN reports “30 Rock” actor Judah Freidlander will perform at NU on Feb. 27 as part of the Center for Student Involvement’s Campus Programming. Apparently NU students really love themselves some 30 Rock as Freidlander becomes the third actor of the Emmy-award winning NBC show to visit campus this year.
Here’s some video of Friedlander’s standup from a charity event about a year ago.
Maulik Pancholy’s visit as SASA’s fall speaker was largely forgettable, but the same cannot be said of Tracy Morgan’s performance Saturday. We’re not so sure that’s a good thing. Morgan brought his raunchy humor to Pick-Staiger telling students, “If you can take a dick, you can take a joke.” Is he speaking from experience? Morgan then equated himself with Jay-Z when he heard the show had sold out in 20 minutes. After the show, Sierra Tishgart, A&O co-director of promotions and public relations, apologized to students who were offended by Morgan’s stand-up routine. We’re sure that will do wonders to console the front-row girl Morgan called a “fat ass.”
