Fewer than a dozen Northwestern students showed up to last night’s special city council meeting, and only two—Weinberg junior Ben Berkman and ASG President Claire Lew—spoke during public comment. Besides the two brief student comments, there was no other mention of the Evanston housing ordinance that forbids more than three unrelated people from living together. It looks like NU students are back to their apathetic ways now that the city says it won’t step up enforcement of the brothel law come July 1.
