We all saw the pictures of the six spirited streakers, and now NBN has created “Cops vs. Streakers,” an interactive game to bring us the thrill, sans the exhibitionism. Players can choose either to be the police and chase 36 streakers running wild, or to take their virtual clothes off and attempt to “outrun cops and make it to North Campus.” Oh, and here’s a hint—one of the options is definitely easier. Student groups like Hillel and the Roosevelt Institute are starting a campaign to make sure NU food employees and janitors can earn a living wage. The push to expand wages that can provide for a family comes after Georgetown and Harvard, respectively, established living wage ordinances for their own university employees. Here’s hoping the grassroots operation, which has yet to come up with a completion date, works out successfully. [The Daily]
“Where was your first time?” Er, too awkward. Okay then, “Where was your first kiss?” That’s the question NBN candidly asked more than a dozen NU students at various locations for the website’s new video series, “Pop the Question.” Responses varied from a rainy trampoline to the more-than-cliché carnival ferris wheel. NU may still be giddy about Saturday’s upset over Wisconsin, but there’s another fall sport that should have ‘Cat fans buzzing: Men’s soccer. After drubbing Notre Dame 3-1, the men’s soccer team is moving on to the third round of the NCAA tournament, with a game against Tulsa—whom they defeated 3-2 earlier this year—on Sunday.
