That cute girl you saw in 3N? You could hit on her via the internet.

A new web site developed at the University College London in Great Britain lets you flirt while you study. FitFinder (“fit” being Britain’s version of our word for “cute”) is a forum for students to post crushes and trade contact info at the libes. Think Craigslist’s missed connections, but specific to university libraries. Students essentially describe their crushes—”Female, Redhead hair. busty girl with a west country accent, was eating a bacon and cheese burger. mmmm. yummy.”—in hopes of getting a little action during a study break. Unfortunately, it looks like it’s not actually making matches. The Chronicles of Higher Education describes the site as more of an “online equivalent of construction-site wolf-whistling.”

Would FitFinder work at NU? We tried to do an NU specific missed connections with “NU I Saw You” and were unsuccessful. But perhaps a FitFinder style forum would work better…? Tell us your thoughts, in the comments.
