Football is the cornerstone of many college’s athletic programs. And it doesn’t matter if the teams do well or not, so long as they fill stadiums and rake in millions of dollars for the university. The Huffington Post compiled a list of the worst-value college football coaches by calculating the team’s on-field performance in terms of the coach’s monetary compensation, see where Fitz ranks after the jump. Texas’s head coach Mac Brown leads the pack scoring the highest cost-per-win —$1,020,000 for each of the team’s five wins. By those measures, Pat Fitzgerald is a bargain at $107,142 per win.
