The Andrew McDonough B+ (Be Positive) Foundation for childhood cancer will be Dance Marathon’s primary beneficiary next year. In the last four years, the B+ Foundation has provided nearly $600,000 to 500 families affected by childhood cancer. Founded in 2007, the foundation bears the name of a Wilmington, Delaware teen who lost his battle with leukemia four years ago at age 14. The foundation announced it will open a Midwest regional branch, headquartered in the Chicagoland area, in conjunction with next year’s Dance Marathon event, March 2-4. Funds raised from NUDM will also benefit the Evanston Community Foundation, DM’s secondary beneficiary for fifteen consecutive years.
