Two Dartmouth seniors are looking forward to seeing new University president Dr. Jim Yong Kim, above, at the gym.
Because everyone likes to think about vomiting during sex, NBN has compiled a handy list of the top five embarrassing sex moments… and, more importantly, how to recover from them. So, what to do next time you or your partner, er, queefs? “Laugh it off or ignore it and keep going.” And after all, “if you think about it” (but please, not too much), “queef is a pretty funny word.” [NBN]
When Dr. Jim Yong Kim was announced as the new Dartmouth president last year, the school decided to celebrate with music. But instead of contracting John Legend or a big-name star, two Dartmouth seniors took the festivities into their own hands, crafting a gangster rap with such inspired lyrics as “Jim Yong Kim, see you at the gym,” and “Jim Yong Kim, don’t ever f***ing mess with him.” Ah, the benefits of an Ivy League education. If you’re not already Coach Fitz’s friend on Facebook, go add him. Now. Not only will you be able to check out professional shots of his purple-clad family, but you might also get a free shirt. Clothing giveaways are just one of the ways Fitz has tried to connect with his fans–and ‘friends’ and ‘followers,’ who now number 2,662 on Facebook and 1,500 on Twitter. But Fitz remains humble about his internet celebrity: “I still don’t know why anybody cares what I’m doing,” he told NBN, “but I think it’s kind of cool.” [NBN]
First came the Conference Bike, and now, it seems, the latest development in campus tours is an iPhone application. The new app, developed by a Yale student and two high-schoolers, uses a combination of GPS, a compass, and maps to provide information to visitors who want to skip the crowds and backward walking of the traditional college tour. Only Yale, Harvard, Stanford, and M.I.T. are currently offered, but the student developers say they hope to add more schools to their roster. If NU makes the cut, could even an iPhone app navigate Tech? [Chronicle of Higher Education]
