We started off the week celebrating the most dreaded loved holiday of the year. We shared three Valentine’s Day confessions: self love, sex and good old-fashioned romance. Yes, even the self-loathing type like us can enjoy a good romantic story. We also compiled a list of music majors’ recommendations for top hook up songs and published a date night comic. But let’s be serious, our V-Day gift to you couldn’t begin to compete with Chet Haze’s much-anticipated mix tape “Get Hazed” released Feb. 14. Naturally, we spent the wee hours of Monday morning listening and analyzing every track.

If love was not in the cards for you this year, you can always drown your sorrows with some junk food. May we suggest beer marshmallows? Or if you’re sticking to a liquid diet, you can always make a trip to the Keg. Too bad their tweet deals aren’t real. We could really use a $3 big cup right now. And if nothing else hopefully you’ve come to the realization that there’s more fish in the sea and college is just four years. But for some, four years just isn’t enough. We found seven grads that never left and stayed to work or volunteer at the university.

Best of Buzz: Wildcat Welcome announced freshman will partake in a day of service during orientation and the Borders in Evanston is closing next month. Just like the ice rink, we never managed to make a trip.
