After a three-month hiatus, we have to say we’re glad to be back. This week, we welcomed you back with the highlights of things we missed fall quarter. Then, we compared three on-campus businesses to buy and sell books. But who cares about books and syllabi (and all the other things that come with the first week back to school)? It’s RUSH.
We delved into the Intel archives to bring you the best of last year’s rush coverage, and then interviewed the founder of the infamous NU gossip blog Rumor Royalty. Things got really juicy when we got candid reports of sorority rush at five other schools. Our favorite quote, “I would rather have a root canal every day than speak to her ever again.” So true, so cutting, so sorority. But back to NU.
It’s bad enough you have to worry about girl flirting for hours on end, but what are you going to wear to put your best foot forward? Don’t worry we’ve got you covered. We get it, rush is stressful, so we made sure to offer plenty of ways to treat yourself: Kafein’s Chai Classic and a recipe for gourmet grilled cheese. If you don’t use eating to mask/cure stress (wait, really?), at least you can drown your sorrows in indie mix tapes, trashy pop music, or a freshman’s fresh beats.
