They just weren't compatible.
Disgraced former Governor of Illinois Rod Blagojevich’s foray in to reality television is over. Blagojevich was booted off Donald Trump’s Celebrity Apprentice last Sunday because of “his inability to use technology, his addiction to political doublespeak and his inability to admit mistakes,” the Chicago Tribune reported. These qualities may have been news to Trump, but they certainly weren’t to us after he spoke at NU on political ethics last month.
Charged with creating a promotion for the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Orlando’s Universal theme park, Blagojevich, a graduate of NU’s Class of ’79, led his team to failure by not giving them any direction and taking a largely hands-off approach to leadership. This was not helped by his inability to either type or text.
Blagojevich did carry one lesson from his tenure as governor over to the show. When placing a teammate on speakerphone, he stated “The whole world is listening. Speak at your peril.” We’re shocked he didn’t beg his teammates to “listen to the tapes.”
