Four University of Florida students have come up with a foolproof way to determine the country’s biggest party school: drunk texts. The quartet launched the Web site www.partyschooltexts.com in March. Site users submit texts under their school name. “I queefed so much yesterday night…is that normal___?” is the oh-so-elegantly phrased submission of a fellow Northwestern student.
The site appears to be a direct rip off of Texts from Last Night (as if TFLN wasn’t already populated by college-aged submissions). In an article he wrote for the online publication SpiceToday.com, David Mekelburg called TFLN “a brilliant living document of twentysomething life in 2009.”
Similar to Texts from Last Night, users of Party School Texts can vote on submissions. “Rock Star” is the equivalent to a “thumbs up” and “Lame-O” is the equivalent to a “thumbs down.” The positive rock stars add points to a university’s party school ranking while the negative lame-os detract. Unsurprisingly, the University of Florida is ranked number one based on submissions so far. In all fairness, however, even the Princeton Review ranks the Gators second on its list of the country’s top party schools.

I’m just wondering who the five random NU students are who would post such ridiculous things to the Web site.
