Mike Kafka will have to attack Wisconsin through the air and on the ground in his final game in Evanston

What: It’s Senior Day as Northwestern hosts #16 Wisconsin
Where: Ryan Field
When: 2:30 kickoff
How to watch/listen: Go to the game, it’s the last one in Evanston in 2009
Now, onto the predictions:
Aaron Morse: Northwestern 28 Wisconsin 27
Badgers go for 2 and the win on the road and fail to convert when John Clay is tackled by senior Corey Wootton at the goal line.
Andrew Gothelf: Wisconsin 29 Northwestern 28
Since I’m calling the game for WNUR, and since the ‘Cats always lose when I call the game, I can’t predict a win.
Wade Askew: Northwestern 24 Wisconsin 21
Another week, another defensive struggle, another Wildcat win. Wisconsin tries to pound the ball while NU dinks and dunks it through the air all afternoon, eventually pulling out a narrow victory on a last-second Demos field goal.
Abe Schwadron: Northwestern 27 Wisconsin 21
As Dan Fouts put it so eloquently in The Waterboy, “Last game of the year, Brent, can’t hold anything back now.” While I can’t guarantee Fitz’s pregame team movie choice, I’m betting the seniors go out with a win worthy of rushing the field.
Matt Murray: Wisconsin 27 Northwestern 20
It seems like every time I pick Northwestern to lose, they win. So let’s play a little reverse psychology here, oh Football Fates. Wisconsin is a team that I wish could represent the Big Ten in the BCS this season. I know that sounds weird but they typify what this conference’s brand of football is all about – an effectively methodical running game, a bend-but-don’t-break defense, a conservative coach. That having been said, I think Scott Tolzien marches onto Ryan Field and steals one away from the senior Wildcats.
Kevin Fishbain: Northwestern 23 Wisconsin 20
Emotions always fly high on Senior Day. Last year, the ‘Cats were somehow underdogs and played their most complete game in beating Illinois 27-10. They’ll need another complete effort to upset the Badgers. Corey Wootton is finally healthy, and expect Mike Kafka to regain his running game as NU wins a thriller.
Stephen Woldenberg: Northwestern 27 Wisconsin 24
It would only be fitting for this season to end in a nail-biter. Look for Wisconsin to dash out to an early lead on the slow starting Wildcats, only for the second half to be dominated by NU, sending the seniors out with one last win.
Adam Fusfeld:
there’s no reason for analysis or the usual gloom
not now, when an eight and four season looms
im showing some blind faith in the wildcats away from home:
they’ll down the Badgers 28-17 and land a bowl game in the alamo dome
