Students react (apathetically) to the ‘Erase Blackboard’ movement
What is ‘Erase Blackboard’? One week ago, plain black flyers—almost utilitarian in nature—began popping up around campus extolling this slogan, this rallying cry. Students marching down the sidewalk to the drumbeat of their class schedules would stop when they arrived at said flyer, pause, and then move on with their lives not realizing they’ve brushed against a movement sweeping the country. At least that’s what Coursekit— the originators of the campaign and Blackboard’s competitors— would like us to believe. The true story, investigated by NU Intel Video, is much grayer.
